Can the photo be edited?

No — editing the photo is prohibited

“Your photograph must not be altered or enhanced in any way. This includes the modification of facial features and/or the usage of photo editing software.”

No competitor publishes this, and it decides whether a tool like ours is usable at all for your application. The quote below is the official text.

Most common reasons for rejection

  • The passport and visa routes have different file limits (8 MB versus 60 KB) for the same 400×514 dimensions.
  • Alteration is banned outright, and the text names photo editing software explicitly.
  • Three-month recency is stricter than the six months most countries allow.
